Heather joined the Board of Pacific Sport Interior in 2017 bringing a background in community, organizational, resource and leadership development gained through education, work experience and volunteerism.

An almost lifelong interest in the sport of Artistic (Synchronized) Swimming fuels her enthusiasm for sport. Involved in many aspects of the sport over the years, Heather’s primary role has been as a Judge. In addition to judging at many regional, provincial, national and international competitions over the years, she judged at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and served as a technical official at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Heather also served on the FINA (1 term)  and UANA International Technical Committees (3 terms) supporting sport development, competition management, and more. Training and evaluating judges around the world has been another area of involvement. While retired now as an international judge, she remains active as a Level 5 national and provincial judge.

Volunteering continues to be part of Heather’s lifestyle along with gardening, reading, cycling, walking and travel. Time with family (her husband, 3 daughters and their spouses, and 5 grandchildren) is another source of joy
