PacificSport VI is pleased to announce our four recipients of our 2022 bursaries, beginning with Cameron Laturnus!
Cameron has been awarded one of two PacificSport VI High Potential Bursaries for 2022.
The Nanaimo-raised swimmer has just completed his freshman season at the University of Victoria where he was a member of the UVic Vikes varsity swim team. He narrowly missed qualification for the U-Sports championships as a freshman, and is very keen to continue to grow as he enters his sophomore season in 2022-23.
Cameron is a long-time member and coach with the Nanaimo White Rapids and will be returning to his hometown this summer to coach the club’s intermediate training group. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at UVIC.
“I would like to thank PacificSport for your long standing support, training, and educational opportunities,” shared Cameron. “I express my gratitude and appreciation for your encouragement and recognition provided through the High Potential athlete bursary. I look forward to more competitions!”
We are very pleased to award this $500 bursary to Cameron and can’t wait to follow along with his successes next season.
