Connecting with Indigenous Athletes, Coaches and Communities

Jason Peters brings a wealth of experience from the world of sport, government, and business. Peters is an Indigenous sport administrator, Chartered Professional Coach (ChPC), NCCP Coach Developer and board member with multiple sustainable, viable and successful organizations. Peters is also a high-performance basketball coach at the Canada Games, national, provincial, regional and high school levels. He is currently the Executive Director of Member Services at Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc.
Jason will be leading an engaging session for coaches and sport leaders on how to connect with Indigenous athletes, coaches and communities. This session will address what groups and organizations are already doing, help to bridge the gaps and help foster connections to Indigenous communities.
Cost: free (if you’d like lunch, it’s on you!)
