Pathways Through Play: Connecting To Your Community

March 13 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Pathways Through Play: Connecting to Your Community is an engaging event that aims to raise awareness about the warning signs of gang and criminal Influence on youths while highlighting the positive outcome when youths are presented with opportunities to choose an alternative path.

Doors open at 5:30 pm. Presentation starts promptly at 6:00 pm. Registration recommended.

In partnership with Mindfulete, the event includes a presentation by Paralympians Greg Stewart and Jennifer McCreesh. They will share their inspiring journeys in sports and demonstrate how team activities can boost confidence, teamwork, and resilience. A lesson on integrating mindfulness and physical activity can enhance mental well-being and physical health.

The evening will also include a presentation by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit BC covering the warning signs of gang influence to be aware of in youths and provide practical strategies for preventing gang involvement.

These discussions aim to give parents/caregivers and their children valuable tools to navigate challenges, build strong support networks, and foster positive life choices.

This is a free event; however, donations to PacificSport Interior BC will be graciously accepted at the door to support amateur youth sports in our community
