NCCP Managing Conflict

Course description:
This course is being presented in partnership with the viaSport Regional Alliance PacificSport Interior as part of their Coach Academy. Learn more about the Coach Academy and community sport information on future programming in the Vancouver Island Region by staying connected with Pacific Sport Vancouver Island.
This module will allow coaches to:
- Identify common sources of conflict in sport.
- Determine which individuals or groups are most likely to find themselves in situations involving conflict.
- Learn important skills that will help coaches prevent and solve conflict resulting from misinformation, miscommunication, or misunderstanding.
- Develop skills that will empower you to listen and speak effectively in conflict situations while maintaining positive relationships with athletes, parents, officials, and other coaches.
Please note: This is a live, facilitator-led, interactive, group-based course offered online through Zoom. To participate in an Online Delivery course, you must have a working microphone, speakers and a camera as well as reliable access to the internet (Dial-up or High Speed). Additionally, to ensure the best quality learning experience, it is strongly reccomended that all participants ensure they have the most up to date version of Zoom installed.
