Krista has recently joined PacificSport Interior after working as a youth multisport coach for the City of Kamloops.
Born and raised in Kamloops, she danced for thirteen years. Hanging up her dancing shoes for university, she attended UBC Okanagan. Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, she specialized in Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2021 before moving back to Kamloops.
Passionate about physical literacy and fundamental movement skills, Krista began her career coaching for the City of Kamloops’ youth multisport programs. Having instructed floor hockey, t-ball, soccer, tumbling, and learn to play programs, she brought an enthusiasm to the sessions that kept kids returning. Partnering with the City of Kamloops, she has worked with PLAYKamloops, Canucks Autism Network, and Kamloops Immigrant Services to bring physical activity to the community and is excited about the opportunity to do the same with PacificSport Interior.
