• Appointed Director - City of Kamloops Health & Sport Development Supervisor

Linda Stride is the Recreation, Health and Sport Development Supervisor with the City of Kamloops and is passionate about and committed to providing physical activity opportunities for a range of participants that lead to an improved quality of life. “I believe that sport is the perfect vehicle to encourage movement in our families and stimulate community engagement.”

Much of Linda’s professional experience in sport and wellness has been with municipal organizations and post-secondary institutions. Linda has instructed the soccer activity class in the Physical Education Department at the Univ. of Saskatchewan, Univ. of Alberta and Grant MacEwan University. Linda has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology, majoring in Leisure and Sport Management from the University of Saskatchewan and a Recreation Leadership Diploma from Langara College.

As an athlete and coach, Linda’s primary athletic endeavors were in soccer and since hanging up her soccer cleats, she has pursued running, triathlons and fitness.
