Elli Terwiel is a retired Canadian 2014 Sochi Winter Olympian (Alpine Skiing), a member of the Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame, and an engineer working on sustainable structural building systems.  Elli was the first Canadian Women’s National team member to simultaneously attend university while also competing full-time on the International World Cup circuit.  She raced Divison 1 NCAA, competed in the World Cup, and completed her Civil Engineering degree with a minor in Green Building at the same time. During her time at school in the States, she was a member of the UVM 2012 NCAA Championships winning team and a multi-x First-Team All-American skier.  Elli is a Professional Civil Engineer in the state of California, where she lived before recently returning to British Columbia.   Elli is looking forward to continuing her engineering career up North, specifically looking at sustainable engineering solutions. In addition to engineering, Elli has her Masters of Management in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MMIE) from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University which focused on bringing a product to market with thorough market analysis, business analytics, and rapid scaling.   She still loves being out in the mountains whenever she can and is very excited to join the PacificSport Interior BC board to give back to the local sporting community!
